Well I don’t know about anyone else, but life is, shall we say getting uncomfortable in the UK. We seem to be getting an inflated Muslim problem and before you take umbrage at my use of the word ‘problem’. Im saying it as I see it! Continue reading
Let’s put aside for a moment the downright lunacy of the 2nd Amendment , but hey, does anyone else put allowing children to use fire arms up there with child abuse and religious indoctrination? Isn’t it the role of a parent to protect their children? Would you put a 9 year old behind the wheel of a car and let them speed down the highway? Okay…. too much? Too fucking bad and anyway your getting where I’m coming from right? Continue reading
Please welcome return guest blogger and amazing poet @ashleighgodsell.
The poem i’ve chosen for your blog this week is one which i wrote a while ago infact – on sensitive issues i feel strongly about.
It had been published on an anti-bullying website months ago, which I was pleased about and hoped that it may have helped someone get through hardship and I hope that it may do so again by being posted on this blog. It can be applied to many topics, depression, bullying, suicide etc…. Continue reading
Well I decided to step back from engaging fruit loops as it was becoming an increasing pointless exercise. There are only so many times you can listen to the same pathetic questions! They never listen to the answers and persist in asking questions impossible to answer in 140 characters. Their stupidity bounces back at them at every turn. If they were really interested they would research themselves! Anyway , how did stepping back from twitter work out for me?….. I lasted a week hahahhaha Continue reading
Wow… This week has been a bitch hasn’t it? It has been hard to avoid the issue of Ferguson in the news and yet again the US is seen in a bad light by the rest of the world. We look at scenes that if not explained we would assume were in the Gaza strip, Syria or Iraq. How can a country who prides itself on being a leader of the free world act in such a way to its citizens? I am speechless. What will it take for the US to realise ….. they are doing it wrong!!! Okay I admit I have been mulling over this for several weeks. Truth be told until David Cameron decided to tell us we were a Christian nation, the thought had never entered my head. I thought what the bloody hell is the idiot on about! From the time I wake up to going to sleep it has not impact on my day. Unless I’m on twitter and then the theists are out in droves like a flock of sheep. But that is pure entertainment value and anyway they are usually from the States. To be expected right?
Then of course I sat back and decided to check this bloody outrageous statement out. I don’t know about you but I don’t even know if there are any people in my daily working life etc that would be theists! I mean it is irrelevant. Nothing in my real life reflects religion, it doesn’t dictate how I act or what I can or cannot do. Okay, well maybe one incident :- Continue reading
Please welcome my guest blogger Mr Anil Kumar who can also be found on twitter as @anil_95054. I have the honour of being a close friend of Anil’s for almost 15 years and his loyalty and friendship have never wavered despite having to put up with my opinionated overtures over the years. Our friendship gets stronger year by year and we have supported each other for so long it is second nature for us both. We have had many ups and downs in life but have been there for each other through them all. I value you him as the special human being he is and will always be to me….
Please enjoy and comment……

Oh my friends what a week we have had, and how the sadness weighs me down.
How you ask can we be so affected by a famous face deciding life has become too much? How could we not have noticed?
I can answer very simply they affect us in so many ways…. We watch a movie and it carries us back to the age we were when we first saw it and when that person dies it is like that has been taken away from us. We remember relatives we were with, that have died and we remember them also. Such wonderful memories of sharing family time watching a Robin Williams movie. My children are all grown up now but I remember Mrs Doubtfire and now will never be the same. Continue reading
Some weeks on twitter seem crazier than others. Or maybe its just me getting sick of the same inane questions and decidedly clueless questions I get asked on a daily basis. Chiefly among them is the why don’t I have atheist in my blog bio when i so obviously am? Being an atheist does not define me and I don’t feel the need to put such a label on my bio. If you want to find out my interests check out my timeline and it will become obvious surely……
Here’s some popular questions and comments I get daily:- Continue reading
I have always had a fascination with history, as far back as I can remember. My great passion for the subject happened in the spring of 1976 when I was given a birthday gift from my Mother of a book on Egyptian Mythology ( incidentally I still have this prize possession to this day and it sits on my bedroom bookcase with other non fictional gems). The myriad of Egyptian gods spread out before me in dazzling technicolour glory was wonderful. Such an ancient civilisation and I was smitten! The detail of information I had found at my fingertips was truly breathtaking. that first book opened up a door of wonders to me. Thank you WH Smiths hahaha.
From that point on my thirst for knowledge of classical histories knew no bounds. That first book compelled me to explore. I do have a way of focussing on a particular subject till I feel I have exhausted any further avenues of study and still do to this day. Usually whilst studying it takes me on a tangent to another fascinating world.. and I am once again immersed. I think with Egyptology i took it from Narmer to the 18th Dynasty and the lives of Akhenaton and Nefertiti (hence my alter ego account if you can find it on twitter! ) In Akhenaton I had found a Pharaoh who turned away from his old gods and searched for one. He couldn’t understand why there would be a need for many….. Continue reading
