imageTheist’s tend to take umbrage when I use the words religious extremism, mental illness, religious hatred and Atheophobia.  But I have to say the Theist’s make it impossible to think otherwise. Please judge for yourselves and let me know when you have read this post if I’m not right.

The daily grind of the hatred and fanaticism around the world makes me sad. It makes me angry. It makes me drown in the hopelessness of what religion causes worldwide. Will it change? Will they see the error of their ways? For if not religion will surely be the cause of man’s extinction! Too harsh? Too late!

I feel despair for the hatred and total lack of human compassion and tolerance for mankind. As I listened to the usual sycophantic posturing from the various religious ( so called) leaders giving their Eostre addresses,  I realised one fundamental difference between them and us. The major short coming of so called religious theologians. Their lack of humanity!  I mean, quite frankly if the head of the catholic church can’t feel compassion, what hope for the rest of his sheep, right? What am i talking about you say? What did all the speeches have in common? They discussed the level of CHRISTIAN persecution.  Tribalism!   look after our own mentality and we don’t care about the rest.  To be a true human being shouldn’t they have said HUMAN persecution? What an example of a caring community, right? Dear Popey admitted, only CHRISTIANS  matter.

You see the great chasm of a difference between Atheists and Theists is simple,  we don’t care what a person is when in need  or danger, we are not going to bring their religion into the equation.  Ever! We help unconditionally.

imageReligion is the cause of the majority of wars and suffering around the world, the most hate crimes, the persecution of children and minorities.  I don’t give a damn what your religion – the respect for human life should be paramount. Period!

Some examples? Lets take a look at some stories in the news that came to my attention this week shall we . The tip of the iceberg by the way:-

TEXAS COUPLE STARVE THEIR TODDLER TO REMOVE DEMONS AND FLEE AFTER FAILING TO RAISE HIM FROM THE DEAD.

The church where this horrific story unfolded was Congregation of Pueblo De Dios,  which was formed in 2007, and is affiliated with a Georgia based Pentacostal denomination.

imageApparently  the 2 year old boys parents and pastor believed the boy to be possessed by demons and they starved him for 25 days, only giving him water a few times a day which inevitably was the cause of his death.  They believed it was the only way to save him. They then performed a resurrection ceremony that surprise, surprise had no affect.

A church member mentioned she had seen the boy a day before the failed resurrection ceremony, he was frail and weak she said and fell over several times hitting his head.  She did not try to help the boy because he was “possessed by demons” and she was afraid.

Aracely Meza performed a resurrection ceremony that included prayer and pouring oils over his lifeless body. Apparently this is called a “rising”, The congregation trusted Meza as they believed her to be a “prophet”.

imageShe has since been arrested but the parents have know fled over the border to Mexico. Disturbingly, there is in fact a video showing the resurrection event which I’m sure will be used in evidence at Meza’s trial, but I could not watch it.

There was indeed a demon it was the sickness in Meza.

TWO MUSLIM’S SET FIRE TO 14 YEAR OLD BOY IN PAKISTAN

Two young Muslim boys leaving Friday prayers stopped a 14 year old boy and asked him what religion he belonged to, when he replied Christian, they beat him up, covered him in petrol and set him on fire. The young boy had been on the way home.

The boy, only named as Nuaman suffered 55% burns all over his body, sadly he has since died from his injuries but not before he gave a detailed description of the events. Passers by had tried to dowse him with sand to stop the flames.

This followed another attack threw weeks before involving a 17 year old christian boy Sunny Masih. he was attacked by a Muslim mob, beaten and thrown into a flaming kiln. He survived but suffered terrible burns.

ATHEIST MOM GETS DEATH THREATS AFTER SCHOOL CANCELS ‘BIBLE MAN’ VISITS DUE TO HER COMPLAINTS

An Atheist Mom in Tennessee is getting death threats from other parents and the community after complaining of the ‘Bible Man’ visits which had not been agreed by parents. She found her son had attended class and had to listen to the idiots drivel and of course was confused.

The Mom said ‘ I just can’t get over how much hate there is in their loving, christian hearts’ – To be honest it doesn’t surprise me in the slightest!

The school have now put the visits on hold. So they should any ‘bible basher’ should be allowed to be part of a voluntary after school club an optional extra.

AS A FRIEND ON TWITTER POSTED ‘ IF YOU USE BELIEF IN GOD TO MEAN I AM A GOOD PERSON, IT NO LONGER APPLIES’

How can Theist’s possibly follow an ideology that influences people to do such hateful things. Seriously, I want to bloody know! Remember these people are taking the teachings from their religious texts.  THEY HAVE FAITH THAT THEY ARE TRUE. Sound familiar ?

Faith is the great cop-out, the great excuse to evade the need to think and evaluate evidence. Faith is belief in spite of, even because of, the lack of evidence – Richard Dawkins

Faith is in fact killing people every day of the week

Is it so hard to accept our individual differences and just get along? Keep your religion in your homes and religious houses and leave the rest of your lives a religion free zone.

The sad truth is you can google religious hate crime and come up with numerous examples, over a dozen a day is a conservative estimate – and yet you call us the bad guys who lack moral back bone. Please don’t wave that bloody flag in my face again.

If you are good people it is despite your religious affiliations not because of them!
