A SECULAR SOCIETY IS BEST
Over the past week three things I now know for sure:-
- A Secular Society is the way forward…. the only real route to a tolerant society
- Religious fanaticism is the enemy ,only an idiot would deny faith is the seedbed that creates fanaticism
- We have the right to ridicule the ridiculous
RECENT NEWS FROM THE RELIGION OF PEACE
- LEBANON – A suicide attack in the northern Lebanese city of Tripoli has kills at least seven people, in the latest violence linked to Syria. A so called ‘revenge attack’
- NIGERIAN SUICIDE BOMBER – At least 19 people killed and several injured by a bomb strapped to a 10 year old girl in Maiduguri, Borno State, Nigeria
- BAGA, NIGERIA – Boko Haram’s deadliest massacre- 2,000 feared dead. Hundreds of bodies – too many to count. Fighting dated 3rd January
- RAIF BADAWI – Saudi blogger sentenced to 10 years and 1000 lashes – for blasphemy
- PAKISTAN – Asia Bibi, Christian given death penalty for insulting the muslim prophet
- PAKISTAN – 22nd December, Taliban attacked the school killing 141 of which 132 were children.
- CHARLIE HEBDO – 12 people murdered including 4 cartoonists bringing the total to 70 International journalists killed in the last 12 months
- BOKO HARAM – now control 20,000 square miles of territory – an area the size of Belgium
I could go on but this list I believe makes the point.
The media seem to want to try and make sense of it all….. don’t, it’s nonsensical!
RELIGION WILL BECOME OLD NEWS
Just a few points I wish to make:-
- A Secular Society would stop faith turning towards fanaticism. We were not saying all theists are terrorists – we are saying it will lead some theists towards it. A single terrorist is one too many!
- If religion enables fanaticism then there is something wrong with your religion
- How insane is it to have a mythological ideology that causes you to wreak vengeance on behalf of an imaginary friend. Theists are the infants of society, they just simply haven’t grown up yet. the fanatics are the children in the playground that like to pull legs of spiders – thats the only difference.
- The moderate theists are just as dangerous as they cherry pick their beliefs and stand by and let the fundamentalists thrive whilst they keep silent.
- Cause and effect- who/what corrupted that ten year old Nigerian girl, indoctrination and brainwashing a deadly corruption by religion. Anyone telling me that they believe in a ‘loving god’ haven’t read the small print. Or more to the point when they say ‘oh but that’s not my god!’ I answer, of course not, everyones idea of god depends on their own imagination, you made him up to be how you wish him to be … simples, huh?
- If you want to say god and nothing to do with it? They were just insane individuals – you are doing them a disservice. they believed they were doing this in the name of their prophet – without their religion they wouldn’t have had the reason or want to do such a heinous thing. God did have something to do with it in their eyes. God is man made, do you get it yet? You need to realise your imaginary friend is a cancer eating away at the minds of men. Destructive and hateful, dogma and bigotry that you condone.
- Such a waste of life for a myth – ludicrous. Can you imagine how insane we find theism, the whole principle and so called moral code you live by was invented by goat herders – your primitive religious texts are a nonsense – even more so when it makes ‘religious terrorist’ kill in the name of a man made ideology.
- Let me make this clear a secular society is a tolerant society. None of the hundreds of religions teach tolerance outside of their own religion. You can deny it…. or you can get a grip!
- Religion is the Grand Delusion – if you wish to stay deluded despite all evidence to the contrary – you are a victim of your own imagination.
MOVING FORWARD
- Religion needs stricter controls – for the safety of humanists and all religions
- Islamic terrorists – are the responsibility of the Muslim community. You need to solve the problem from within. These idiots are taught and recruited for Al Qaeda, ISIS etc from Mosques and faith schools. The core fault lies within your religion.
- Schools need to become places of intellectual safety – a religion free zone.
- Religion is an evil that man can do without – the sooner the better
- In the meantime, to co-exist within a normal civilised society – Islam needs major reform. You need to wake up and sort your house out!
FINAL THOUGHTS
- Charlie Hebdo, will be printing this week, said columnist Patrick Pelloux. ‘Stupidity will not win’ Their usual run is 60,000 this week they will be printing 1 million copies! JeSuisCharlie
- The agenda is set – say goodbye to religion and you get rid of religious extremism.
- As I have said before, if in 1,000 years religion still exists, man will not!

SECULAR SCARLET 
There are those who will resort to terror tactics for a variety of reasons, normally as a last resort. But no reason for such atrocities is more popular than religion.
Islam has clearly taken it to industrial levels and as a first resort.
The saddest thing about it all is that people are being maimed and killed for such a flimsy and ridiculous set of beliefs. That a religious ideology can feel threatened by a cartoon, a blog site or calling a mythical entity a bad name, is obviously a sign that Islam has no evidence to support its claims, and it threatened by people who think for themselves.
If Islam was in any way valid, so beyond criticism, and its adherents so sure of the validity of their beliefs, then no amount of criticism would EVER be a threat to them. Unfortunately this is clearly not the case.

It’s a shame the politicians and world leaders don’t see things as clearly.
When Netanyahu shows up at the rally for Charlie Hebdo and doesnt see the irony, when the Saudi Minister is there in solidarity and yet they are beating Raif Badawi, when Merkel stands there and yet tries to supress the freedom of speech for a Pergida rally….. We know the goverments are in chaos

I agree with every word once again.
I repeat for the umpteenth time the only way to defeat religions is religion free education. Teach kids to think for themselves and religion will disappear in two generations at most.
Teach them not to believe in a life after death, but a life before death.
Don’t waste it, it’s the only one you get.

Im sure this will at least start in my lifetime, or at least my childrens. The Dark Ages are long gone…. Theists will grow up eventually I am sure. Even they must see the monster they have created … And he isnt staying in the bedroom cupboard or under the bed!!!
Every evil done…. Is creating more questions… Even with the moderate theists
Check out last nights Panorama…. It was gripping stuff… And finally showed Charlie Hebdo cartoons on British media!

Sis, there have been times over the past and I’ve felt like I’ve been shooting people in Paris!! There are good theists, but as with everything else in life you only get to hear about the bad ones!! Been a sad week for all of us…and I mean humanity and our gang of friends, not theists and atheists!! My theist heart cries for the pain caused no less than your atheist one! Fx

Agreed Frankie. There are an awful lot of good people out…. But they are just that… Good people…. Religion is nothing…. Theists are good despite their religion.
Alas some people cannot rise above their imaginary friend, and then talk themselves into commiting atrocities in the name of religion. Until religion goes it will always be the case….
Its just ver sad … That a “religion of peace” creates this mess… 7 billion on this planet and their beleivers are a small percentage

The survival of our species is dependant on our ability to adapt to change. Once religion is removed from our day to day lives we can move forward and stop massacring each other. Religious types and their reluctance to change will hopefully mean they become extinct – ASAP!

Wow! Excellent piece. People at. The top, the policy makers need a shot at these posts. I always knew there’s something wrong with my former religion, the only answer I get is my brain is too feeble to comprehend god’s logic. The policy makers should stop the diplomatic policy of sugar-coating the truth, more people will go secular that way, and the clergy will be powerless… This is the age of reason, we may fall by trying to make it a reality, but a lot more will rise. I now know this, not only hope. We are waxing stronger by the hour.

We have to be patient the politicians are always slower than the people 😉 And sadly a lot of people seem to listen to the Merkel’s rhetoric. Apparently we are a population of Islamaphobes….. Amazing how blind people are and how they love to throw that word out there with no truth behind it.
You know secular will win through all this. Just a matter of time…
